Stephen is the Founder and Director of Cheercare Support Services. 10 years of industry experience and personal family experience have built his passion and drive to make a difference in the lives of people with mental health support and their families.
His career has included running his own organization providing supported accommodation, developing and running a day service, and creating a lawn care business that helped people with mental health gain skills. Cheercare Support Services’ intention is to stay small deliberately to ensure it does not lose its personal touch and continue to be able to provide quality support.
Stephen is also a compliance officer who has worked for several regulated financial institutions both in the UK and European financial organizations. He’s passionate about providing quality care and believes in a personalized but professional approach. His team provides support to Manchester council homes and community access clients we chose to keep the service small to provide that personalized approach for our clients.
Stephen and his team are committed to working together to provide Supported Independent Living that clients are proud to call “home”.
With a career spanning over two decades, Toyin’s journey in the healthcare field has been nothing short of inspiring. Approximately 30 years ago, she embarked on her path by serving as a healthcare assistant in a hospital in Africa. Over the course of a decade in this role, she not only gained invaluable experience but also nurtured a deep-seated commitment to providing care and support to those in need.
What truly sets Toyin apart is her unwavering dedication to social impact. Throughout her career, every role she has undertaken has been infused with a strong sense of social purpose. She has worked with and supported numerous individuals over the years, bearing witness to their personal growth and flourishing.
Further expanding her horizons, in 2010, Toyin took on a role within the NHS and various nursing homes, where she worked tirelessly as a healthcare assistant until 2017. In these roles, she became an indispensable source of compassionate care, nurturing patients and residents with dedication and expertise.
In 2017, she worked as a support worker at Nurseplus, where she further honed her skills in delivering care and support, ensuring the well-being and comfort of those she served.
In 2018, her journey continued as she transitioned into the role of a support worker at HRGO. Here, she further refined her skills and expertise in caring for individuals, gaining invaluable experience in the process.
In August 2020, Toyin commenced her role as a support worker with Manchester council at Manchester House. This marked another significant chapter in her career, where she played a vital role in enhancing the well-being and happiness of the residents she served.
Toyin’s journey has been a profound learning experience. Her core focus has always been on ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to live their best life while supporting them to be as happy and healthy as possible. She considers herself privileged to have worked with and supported a diverse range of individuals throughout her career. Each person she has encountered has left an indelible mark on her life, continuously improving her and enhancing the support she can provide to others.
